Setup fees are a one-time charge per logo, image, or pattern. This covers preparing your design for laser engraving and making any adjustments needed to ensure a perfect fit on your knife. We securely store your design for future use, so you won’t need to pay another setup fee—unless you prefer that we do not keep your file on record. In that case, a new setup fee will apply for future orders.
After your blade is engraved, we anneal the design to help prevent rust and ensure lasting durability—though some types of steel are naturally more prone to corrosion than others. We also apply a thin protective layer of oil to keep the engraving bright and rust-free. To maintain your knife’s appearance, we recommend reapplying a light coat of oil every few months, or more often depending on use, to keep your blade looking its best.
