Black Sheep Blades LLC is a locally owned and operated business in Grand Rapids, MN. We specialize in sharpening clipper blades that fit Oster A5 clippers as well as most straight blade knives up to 8 inches.
We offer drop-off and pickup of blades in the Grand Rapids, MN area. If you are not in the area, you can ship the blades to us and we will ship them back.
Blade Prepping Instructions: When preparing your clipper blades for sharpening, please clean them of dust, dirt, hair, etc before shipping or dropping them off. There will be a cleaning fee added for each blade that needs to be cleaned before being able to sharpen them.
Drop-off area and instructions: We can pickup and drop off within 10 miles of Grand Rapids, MN. If you do drop off blades, please make sure to include your name and phone number, so we can get them back to you once sharpened.
Shipping instructions: If needing to ship blades to us, please make sure they are packed and packaged appropriately.
We use the Treyco Products model 3000 automatic clipper sharpener to enhance the edge of A5 clipper blades.
For beauty and grooming shears we use the Hamaguri standard flat hone machine.
For scissors we can use the Twice As Sharp system or the Hamaguri standard flat hone machine.
For knives we use a Tormek T-8, Tradesman Edge Apex 2×42 belt and grinding wheel, or a 1×30 Bucktool belt and wheel grinder.
